Five photographs by Adrian Patrick that capture a week in the life of dare-devil comedian Jordan Conway
Liam Rudden Media Press Release - For Immediate Release
Like Father, Like Son: Co-producers of World’s Biggest Panto, Jon and Jordan Conway: “I love working with my dad. 97 per cent of the time we are on the same wavelength as I’ve grown up learning from him, but I’ve also learned how I can change things a little bit as well, the nucleus of each idea comes from him, I just put a little bit of icing and a cherry on it.”
Flying With No Wires: “Skydiving from 35,000 feet dressed as Peter Pan would be a great way of publicising the show I thought. So with the help of the Black Knights Parachute Team I did just that. Never been so terrified… and it was freezing cold. But I’d do it again in a heartbeat. It was exhilarating and makes me the only Peter Pan who has flown without wires!”
Filming The Trailer: “Finally, I got a chance to fly with wires when we spent a day filming the trailer for the show. It all became very real but I was prepared as I’d been training at the Hungarian State Circus school where I also learned to fly on an aerial strap like the Cirque du Soleil stars, which I also do in the show.”
Scotland Ahoy! “We did a special photo shoot for the Scottish dates - Peter Pan in a kilt. I’d never worn a kilt before and was amazed at how comfortable it was. It’s also got me researching the clans to see if there’s one that might have a Conway connection. It would be be great to discover I had my own family tartan… and who knows, I might even be the next Scott’s Porridge Oats man one day. I’d love that.”
Opening Night: “Finally we have an audience and it was just amazing to be on stage with the legendary Boy George as Captain Hook. He’s brilliant fun to work with and I can’t wait to bring the show to Aberdeen. See you at the P&J Live!”
